Hagar to headline Rock ‘n Blues by the Lake 2007

Sammy Hagar and the Wabos will rock the shores of Stafford Lake this September, Rock ‘n Blues by the Lake organizers announced today.

Hagar, who did an 11-year stint as the lead singer for hard rock band Van Halen, will bring a blend of over-the-top stage persona and hard-core rock credentials to Novato.

His name adds national recognition to the concert.

Rock ‘n Blues by the Lake, a fundraiser for Novato public schools and School Fuel, will stage its fifth annual show this year on Sept. 29. Past concerts have raised more than $100,000 for the direct benefit of the schools.

Organizer Elaine Macaluso also announced that The Bacon Brothers, an acoustic rock band, will fly in from New York to perform. Actor Kevin Bacon and brother Michael have appeared on the Letterman show.

Other supporting acts will be announced soon, organizers said.
Tickets for the event go on sale May 1st . For more information, go to www.rnblake.com.

I've never seen the Bacon Brothers perform.

hagarfn, thanks for the heads up on this! Haven't heard or seen anything about this here in Phoenix. Just checked Ticketmaster again and the ticket prices are now posted, $37-$77. Internet presales starts tomorrow & Thurs. I will definately being buying tickets for this show. Bigger venue this time around for Sammy, he's usually at Cricket or the Dodge. Thanks again for posting this
