Some footage leaked on youtube. Looks pretty cool. I'd much rather see Sarah Connor as a blonde though, like the movies?

Summer Glau in another butt-kicking role makes up for that though.

Been a while since I saw "T3" - was there any setup of this? Any mention of terminator visits after the end of "T2"?

Wonder if there'll be a scene in every episode of the bad terminator getting run over by a truck?!?

Looks promising for a mini-series type thing, but I don't see this having legs as a full on series. Like Billy said above, are they gonna rely on the same gimmicks as the films ad infinitum?

Oh and please oh please oh please.....the girl misdelivering the "come with me" line. Cut that out of the final edit. That had more corn in it than an Indiana farmer's morning dump.

I agree that they should've left it to the movies, but if it's gotta be done, I don't think this is too bad.

The thing about it that irks me most is the complete disregard to the continuity set up in T3 for the events between T3 and T2. I guess there was no other way to cash-in without disrupting the continuity the movies set.

I don't understand the fascination with this series. James Cameron wrote a really good, rounded story and saw it through in T2. T3 was a stretch, though--and this new trilogy thing they just annouced is sure to be more of that. I think there's a sorted and complex set of story lines behind Sarah Conner, but I enjoyed leaving them to my imagination. I dunno...

Was that Ray Liota as a Terminator, by the way?

Even though T2 wasn't a bad movie, if they had left this after T1 it would have become almost mythical. I hate it when movies try to find some sort of easy or comfortable conclusion.

K.....so far the action is as good as it looked in the ads.

The acting....we well as can be expected for a TV series. Looks like they are ignoring T3 completely (I kinda did too so....).

I would like an explanation somewhere down the road why the Hottie Terminator was able to flawlessly impersonate a teenage babe while the others are nothing more than walking bulldozers.

The Terminators all round seem to be three times as badass this time around. Flipping over busses, tearing apart bank vault doors. Lots of references to the first two films, including the Miles Dyson character who blowed himself up, Kyle Reese, and the time travel equipment.

One enormous problem I am seeing however is in the bank vault escape to 2007. If nothing but living tissue can go thru, then they've left behind a ton of 21st century stuff back in the 1999 vault.....including some fucking uber blasting rail gun type weapon. Giant, giant plot hole there.

I'll keep watching unless it just gets super lame.

It's not as though the movies did have their problems. Hell, in T2 they introduced a causality element that completely undid the whole premise of the story. Skynet was developed from the chip that was left over from the first terminator? Hold the boat, man... that doesn't work.

I thought it was a decent TV show, but they might have a real problem coming up with interesting stories. Oh hey, they're trying to stop Skynet from being invented again. Oh hey, look, another terminator. Season finale? Another terminator--and it looks like the girl terminator. Everybody loves a cat-fight, right? You know it's coming.

I liked the show. Especially the effects at the end, with the terminator busting through the vault, and getting shot to pieces. I didn't like the idea of a teenage girl terminator much though. I miss seeing Arnold.

T2 was superior to T1 in every sense. There's no easy conclusion in that too, unless you're talking about alternative happy ending scene.

And I have no problems trying to imagine Blade Runner 2 either
