For all the knobs on that thing, it actually looks pretty simple:
Gain-Low-Mid-Treble-Volume
(3 times in a row)
1 Presence knob per-channel at the end.
More than I need, to be certain, but definitely easy to understand.
Interesting that there isn't an on-board Reverb.Last edited by Majestic; 05.19.07 at 07:54 PM.

The 5150 and 5150 II niether one have reverb on them. Only the combo does. I like my boss reverb pedal better anyway. Nice looking amp though.

Am I crazy, or does that come about to over $2500 LIST for the head, and over $1300 LIST for the cab?
So that would be a total price of $3800 and a street price of $2600 for the half stack? If so, wow...

Can you imagine how cool this amp will look on stage. You will be able to see the tubes from the front shadowed by the EVH stripes.
Blow up this pic.

Ed is sticking with 6L6's on this amp. I had wondered if he was going to switch back to EL34's.

With summer NAMM coming up, we'll probably see its introduction there.
It looks like there won't be a slant cab--which is cool, because Ed never liked playing slant cabs.

I'll second that. I don't see anything too over the top here, price-wise, if I remember right this one is in the same price range as the Peavey's when they first came out. I expected a lot more, really much more, I'm almost suprised.
Now, I can seriously consider getting one.

I paid $950.00 for the head and cab in 1992. That was a lot of money then too.
