Default No tour, no new tunez but.....

I sure the hell am enjoying Ed's instrumental stuff alot lately, I mean ALOT!

Baluchitherium, Respect The Wind and yes even the porn ones. I wish the guy would just chill a bit and throw out an instrumental cd of like 5-6 pieces until he's ready to go hard on stage and tour or record with the band (whatever form).

There's any number of things the members (past and present) of Van Halen could have been doing for the last eight years. Dave toured, Sam did tons of stuff, Mike hooked up with Sam, and there was '04. We most certainly would have listened to an Ed or Al or Mike solo album.

I really don't understand why you hate horseradish so much. It makes a nice cocktail sauce. It's great on roast beef and brisket. Buy a jar of gefilte fish and let the horseradish do the talking (not too much though)!

While on the topic, what does horseradish have to do with horses anyway?

More recent appreciation of horseradish is believed to have originated in Central Europe, the area also linked to the most widely held theory of how horseradish was named. In German, it’s called "meerrettich" (sea radish) because it grows by the sea. Many believe the English mispronounced the German word "meer" and began calling it "mareradish." Eventually it became known as horseradish. The word "horse" (as applied in "horseradish") is believed to denote large size and coarseness. "Radish" comes from the Latin radix meaning root.

See... if I had a tour and new VH album, I wouldn't nerd out on dumb shit like the meaning of horseradish!!! Eddie SAVE ME!!!

No such CD would ever be completed. Eddie can't write a song to save his life unless David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar is in the same room with him.

VDIII proved that. Cherone wasn't a true collaborator. The resulting "songs" were a chaotic mess. Other Eddie "experiments" like "Donut City" and the porn songs are even worse. Those alleged "10 albums worth of songs" that Eddie claims to have saved up? Doubtful. He may have a shitload of riffs, but they will never be songs unless he has someone help him shape them into songs, which is what Dave did in Van HALEN, and Sammy did in Van Hagar.

    Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!

You are overlooking the fact that there was no producer in the room to keep Ed in check, as Mike Post was on the golf course and "produced" in absentia. A strong willed tyrant would be needed to complete the project, one with readily defined ideas as to what constitutes quality and the ability to crack the whip to get it.

Yet only if Ed Van Halen and his parking lot sized ego would be willing to go along with that in the first place. Nonetheless, the project is possible.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
