Man, I was 9 or 10 when The Real Thing came out. The video for Epic just blew my little mind back then. It's still one of my favorite video's today. Great band, that as someone already mentioned, is terribly underrated.

I used to listen to Faith No More quite a bit. As well as Mr. Bungle. That was a long time ago (must have been during my forgotten semesters in college - it's all a haze now).

    Definitely some good stuff!!

I feel as if they never left. This is one of my wife's favorite bands. We still blast their stuff all the time and download new boots (or should I say newly liberated) as much as possible. Long live Mike Patton!!

Did you guys know that Jim Martin, former guitarist of FNM, is a pumpkin farmer in Half Moon Bay, CA?
We are all on this forum because of Van Halen. Period.

They just got better and better with age too.

Saw them twice. 1st on Mike Patton's first tour with them (opening for some thrash metal band in Denver). Excellent. Mike was hallarious with all the mocking metal heads there.

Then saw them again on their "Album of the Year" tour before they broke up. WOW! Great record. Great show!

Half Moon Bay ain't a bad place to retire. Used to live fairly close to it and it's beautiful.

Ex-Faith No More Bassist: 'No More Faith No More!'

The Dutch Radio station Kink FM recently called formerly Faith No More bassplayer Billy Gould for an exclusive interview. The guys from the metal show "Heavy Alternative" asked Billy the question...

Billy talked about the split of Faith No More. It took several years to get him back on track. As he says about the split: "The time in Faith No More took a lot of energy and we got pressure on us all the time. For 17 long years." He also added: "I needed a couple of years holiday. It got harder and harder."

Of course the guys from Heavy Alternative wanted to know if a Faith No More reunion will ever take place. If we have to believe Billy probably not: "If there's only one guy of 5 that want to go on, it ain't gonna work. Now Faith No More is like an ex-wife. I have a drink with them once in a while, but nothing more than that."

MIKE PATTON: No FAITH NO MORE Reunion — For Now -

The singer said he sometimes reminisces about FAITH NO MORE's good old days, when they used to tour stadiums with METALLICA and GUNS N' ROSES, but not with regret.

"They're good because they ended," he said. "If they were still going, they'd be the sad new days. It was really hard to spit the last record ("Album of the Year") out. I think it stands up to any of our others, but I was looking in the crystal ball and I could see where we were going. The best thing to do was to end on a good note."

Despite occasional offers to regroup, Patton said he'd never agree to a FAITH NO MORE reunion.

"Every four or five years, some Svengali who thinks he can change the world comes with a briefcase full of cash and makes a crazy offer," he said. "And it's not easy to (refuse). It would be very easy for some of us to rehearse for a couple of days, smile and cash the check. I'm not at that point. I got enough things on my plate. Maybe if he comes with two briefcases full of money..."

Default Faith No More Reunites, European Dates Planned

    from www.billboard.com:

    February 24, 2009 12:47 PM ET

    David J. Prince, N.Y.

Faith No More has announced its first live performances since splitting up in 1998. The band will play a series of European festival dates this summer, according to a statement from frontman Mike Patton's publicist.

No North American Faith No More dates are scheduled at this time. As previously reported, only Patton and frequent collaborator Rahzel will perform at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in April, despite speculation about a Faith No More appearance.

Neither the lineup for the revived Faith No More nor the specific festival dates have been announced. Patton's spokesperson Monica Seide said no further details on the band are yet available.

The news of Faith No More's reunion comes as Patton completes his first film score, for “Crank 2: High Voltage,” which will hit theaters on April 17.

Patton and beatboxer Rahzel, meanwhile, have worked on an album that has not yet been officially released.

Faith No More's biggest single, "Epic," reached No. 9 on the Hot 100 in 1990. "Midlife Crisis" earned the band the top spot on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in 1992.

I heard there were rumors. Glad to see they are coming back. However, word is Jim Martin will not be part of the reunion. Too many burnt bridges apparently. I thought they were at their best with him on guitar but I'd pay to see them again. The Real Thing and Angel Dust go worn out on my turntable, then tape play, then CD player. Absolutely fantastic stuff. I missed them.
