Another New Eddie Photo

Eddie backstage at the HOB with Leslie West and Corky Laing. I thought it was Sammy and Cherone

Got the picture from Leslie West's tour manager - he also told me Eddie has definately been given the all clear and Doctors think the cancer was caused by sucking a steel pick. He also said Eddie and Leslie are good freinds but he didnt know what Eddie was planning to do with VH.

He's also offered to put me on the guest list of one of the UK Moutain gigs so i could ask Leslie about VH myself.

I think Eddie only looks sloshed because the picture quality is bad. The definition is bad and Ed's 5 o-clock shadow doesn't help any.

Its either the bad lighting or something, but he does look a little high. But like I said, its his life. I'd probably get smashed myself if i went through what he has. I hope that he is starting to enjoy life again.

You know what? Eddie could silence all the critics by doing a full on interview and photo session.

Can anyone give me a reason why Eddie couldn't talk now? It doesn't appear that a "reunion" could be threaten by someone talking.

I am, sadly, reminded of Elvis. After he died, how many people did you hear say "I wish I could have talked to him. I would have told him that he was killing himself..."

Is Eddie going to end up like Elvis? I don't think so. For all I know he may be clean, sober and smoke free. But if he's not, whoever is a friend to this man needs to knock him on his ass the next time he tries to light one up.

His "problems" may end up costing him a wife, a band, a son, and in the end, his life.

Well, I am going to inject a dose of reality: Ed looks like shit, and he has had his share of crappy cards dealt to him. But you see these posts about nslamming Ed, yet Sam and Dave are immune and can get slammedot as much as any of us want? That's bullshit. I would like to see a reunion, and this past summer tour was almost that, but remember that they (and most of us) are getting older and do look like shit compared to another lifetime ago. With that being said, It is cool to see Ed out and about, and he COULD say something, anything, but he isn't. IMHO, Ed is just chilling, and enjoying a good jam once every few years. Bummer... Oh, I agree. I believe Ed, and let's not forget Al, should be slammed as much as Dave or Sammy, maybe even moreso. Alas, he does look pretty good in the pic, and I hope the cancer is gone. I think that's one of, if not the, worst health issues a person can go through.

I personally only give Eddie failing grades for the fact of not relaying any info to his fans. There were, at one time, millions of folks who cared about Ed, kind of like an extended family. His livelyhood was made by people who enjoyed his music and Ed's career over the last 20 years. If Eddie has some kind of depression, I can see him not wanting to talk to anybody outside his family, but at least SOMEBODY could step to the plate with info, even his brother. But that hasn't happened. So the millions who cared have trimmed to the thousands. I just hope that someday Ed isn't like one of those celebs who lived a high life at one time and years lated died without anyone giving a crap. Hopefully he can come out and bust balls this year. Who knows.
