this is pretty cool

but sammy should have put a little more effort into the songs that the band did with dave. he could have sung this song so much better.

cool none-the-less

too bad they dont have the actual footage from the performance of the song

edit: actually, you know what, just type in van halen-running with the devil or something like that, there are a few with dave as well. AWESOME!

I don't think the audio was from 89; if it was it would've been the Tokyo show. The video is not RWTD, but it's still cool nontheless.

I don't think they did, they started doing it on the MOR tour, I heard they did it on the last tour a couple of times with Mike singing lead.

I'm with you on that, one of the perils of youtube.
It's got a bit of the WB demos then '95 footage then into Tokyo dome 89 all very confusing. As to the audio, could of been grabbed from another tour.

Okay, well I recall reading way back when that on the 5150 tour "Jump" was replaced with "Runnin' With The Devil" a short way into the tour. They didn't do "Jump" again until the FUCK tour, and the keys were then sequenced.

On the audio in question, Ed's tone is very 5150/OU812 era.

On the III and '04 tours Mike sang lead on both "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" and "Runnin' With The Devil."

I did see a video version....I think I may have it on another hard drive...I think it was from the 2004 tour though.....I'll check

if they did it on the 5150 tour it was only for a few shows, I've got literally tons of boots from that tour and have never heard it, they did do alot of cool things back then but I honestly don't think they did RWTD. I'll check my VH encyclopedia when i get home to verify.

i remember hearing them do this song on the 04 tour

but i was outside waiting to get in. they did it as part of their soundcheck so i had my ear up to the crack between the doors to hear it. i was so pumped but disappointed they didnt play this song during the show.
i saw them in wichita kansas. the first half was good, but ed obviously did some drinking during their break.

the VHE says "no". It gives the basic setlist that we all know from LWAN plus YRGM, Good Enough, Addidcted To Love and Wildthing. Then it lists some songs that they did like Make it Last, Rock Candy and a couple I'd love to get my hands on Purple Haze and Sunshine of You're love. There's some other stuff like that but I did not see RWTD.
