Lived in Taiwan for a while. The people are fantastic, the food is amazing and cheap, and the polution (air, water, etc) is troubling.
Hong Kong is great for shopping for clothes, Tokyo is a stunning vibrant and clean city, and loads of westerners traveled to Thailand for the beaches. Sounds like an awesome trip. You can't go wrong.
