SF Recording Academy Honors show '07-Mike/ Sammy

I went to the Recording Academy Honors (SF Chapter) show last nite at the Westin St. Francis in SF- honoring Sammy Hagar, Linda Perry, and Narada Michael Walden. James Hetfield presented the award to Sammy, and Mike jammed with Ronnie Montrose/ David Lauser/ Eric Martin. Vic Johnson was there, as was Neal Schon. Here are some pics/ clips-

Anyway it was a good time. I got to get pics w/Mike, James Hetfield, Neal Schon- and some stuff signed. Sammy had a huge crowd around him after the dinner so I stayed back. I heard something about an after party that he was hosting, but i don't have any mor details. I would have loved to score a signed guitar but the prices got up there pretty fast.

nice work...looks like a fun evening. love the story Sam tells him and Dave Lauser in the mid-late 60's packing up the van and auditioning at every club they could to try to get gigs...

What always amazes me about Mike is that every picture I see a fan take with him....he looks like he knows the person.... I have never seen any celebrity/musician look THAT comfortable with taking pictures with fans.....There will always be acting but I think....with Mikey....he genuinely loves his fans, personally...that's rare...

Class Act all the way....wait....you can't even say class....he's just a ACT all the way....

That was semi-homosexual I know....good thing I'm in Canada....
