    Default Mike's Basses

I've looked around a bit, and haven't seen anything about this so...

Mike has the JD bass, and the Tabasco bass, but does he have a Mad Anthony's Hot Sauce bass?

I've never heard of one, but that's a cool idea. e-mail his official site about it and see if they would ever make one.

Kind of. He's got a bass line fashioned in the spirit of his sauce. They're not constructed in the bottle shape like the other two, but they've got MA sauce designs on it, like the chili peppers on the fretboard, and the Mad Anthony logo and such. I dunno if I've seen him playing one live yet...maybe he played one during The Other Half shows last year, but I dunno for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a custom one made up for himself much like the Tabasco bass.

You're talking about Mike's signature bass with Yamaha, which is an MA re-issue version of the BB3000: http://www.yamaha.com/guitars/produc...25253D,00.html

He played them during his appearances with Sammy in '02 and everything since--the '04 VH tour, The Other Half, etc.

Also, I believe there have been three versions of the Jack Daniel's bass. Yamaha built him the most recent one a few years back.

I always found it interesting that Mike's bass endorsements often paralleled Ed's--Ernie Ball basses during FUCK and Balance and Peavey basses during III.
