Finally caught the new Blade Runner. Pretty damn great. If you like the original, I think you'd be very happy with this one.
I'm not a big fan of Ryan Gosling, but he fucking nails it here.
In the action scenes, Ford, who looks pretty good for 70something, really shows his age.
I'm kicking myself that I dragged my feet and missed the chance to see it on an Imax screen.

Yes. The song title "More Human Than Human" is the slogan for the makers of the replicants, the Tyrell Corp. The song also quotes the line "I want more life, fucker (or father)" when Batty confronted his maker.
As for the music or dialog I think you're referencing from Blade Runner - no, it has no bearing on the GnR song. However, several bands through the years have used the Blade Runner opening music as a pre-concert intro as heard here for a recent Killing Joke show:

My wife and I finally got a date night and were able to see this one. Really liked it. It's been a long time since I'd seen the original so we did a quick refresh via Wikipedia on the car ride to the theater. The shots were amazing, the sound was maybe the best I've ever heard in a movie, and the story was engaging throughout.
Side note:
So we don't get to the movies very often and went to a theater that I used to frequent many times growing up. The chain that originally owned it has recently been bought out by Marcus and they are tearing the hell out of this location. We walk in and half the lobby is inaccessible and there's construction equipment everywhere.
We go to purchase the tickets and the guy tells us that they're having issues in the particular screen we need for that time and that it is about 60 degrees in the room. Hmmm...well we're already committed to this point and there's really nothing else to see, so okay. $24 for two seatsJesus, for that much you would think they could put a space heater in there or something.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

***WARNING*** Possible Headphone Ear Damage Alert - Blu Ray Disc
I was listening to the Blade Runner Special Features Menu Screen Music on the BD, through my receiver, with my Bose Over-the-Ears headphones on. I adjusted the volume for the Menu Music playing to be at a normal listening level.
But, when I selected to play the "BLADE RUNNER 101" set of features, the first feature started with a very loud explosion at at least twice the volume of the Menu Music, that I had been listening to just before that.
So please, do not judge the volume of the extra features by the menu music that plays before you select an extra to watch, particularly if you're listening with headphones on.

I also liked Blade Runner 2049. I saw the 3D version. The 3D adds to the movie. Ryan Gosling was very good. I liked how his hologram girlfriend Joi came to life and was able to travel with him. The movie is long & doesn't have a ton of action. But the action scenes are good, I liked when he took a guy over his knee and snapped his spine! The end fight was good too. I would have liked to have seen Harrison Ford in it a bit more. But it was nice to see him return & connect this movie to the original.
The only one I didn't like much was Jared Leto. Especially when he killed the woman Replicant he had just created with the knife what was the point of that?!
The movie ends suddenly. It looks like it was made to have a sequel, but I am not sure one will be made since this movie didn't do that well in theaters.
There are some cool extra stories that come with the blu ray. That show what happened before the movie. I watched all of them. One is an anime cartoon about 15 minutes long.
Right Now you're reading my post!

I'm still trying to figure out the deal with the scene where Leto looks over the new replicant and then kills it. I'm guessing it had something to do with her inability to reproduce, but can't imagine he didn't know that when he created her in the first place.
And why Olmos' "Gaff" doesn't talk the same way he did in the first one!

The visionary Vangelis could "paint" color with his compositions.

Yes, that’s exactly what they’re saying. And it’s so easy, right, because of these open borders you just cross over, smile and bow while Border Patrol lines up and gives you applause and throws...
