Default EVH and his funny comments about Peavey and Fender

I haven't taken the time to sort through all the comments made on the new Fender $30K Frankenstrat, so piss off....

    Anyways...

I find it funny how EVH says that finally a guitar company made him what he wanted. That being a single humbucking guitar. Well, didn't they just make him what he already had? SO technically, they made him shit all.

As far as the Peavey two humbucking guitar, if he was in the design/build process, why did EVH just tell him what he wanted? (same with EBMM I suppose).

I know a persons ideas change with time and experimentation, but by knocking Peavey and Ernie Ball, hew was taking a shot as his incompetence as well.

    Buh for now.

He changes his mind on alot of things (Did'nt you know that!!!!!)

He said bassicly the same thing about Peavey and Ernie ball, basiclly.

He said Gary was his soulmate and was the perfect vocalist at the time.

He said the VH3 incarnation was the "Final Frontier"

Hes alot over the years. The list goes on.......

Single coil pickups are noisy. A humbucker is basically two single single coils side by side wired out of phase. This configuration cancels noise or cyclical hum. Hence, the name humbucker. It bucks hum.

I remember reading comments in Guitar World (or one of the other guitar magazines) from Hartley Peavey at the time the Wolfgang was released.
He said something along the lines of: "we wanted to do this, but Eddie wanted to do that". Not a direct quote of course, but that's the gist of it.
So, maybe Edward's never been totally happy with his previous guitar makers.

They've all said wacky stuff. I remember Sammy saying "Learning to See" was the best thing he's ever done in Van Halen. Yeah, right...

The thing is, when you're out promoting something, of course you're going to say its the best thing since sliced bread.

I've always wondered why a band of VH's stature and popularity has never started their own label. I'm sure Gary's leaving was probably more of a corporate business decision than a personal one. Too bad, I would've liked to have heard atleast one more album and tour from them.

I thought that relationship ending was due to Ed's taking too much artistic " input" with a certian .........
