    Default Wolfgang tuning keys??

Anybody know where I can find replacement tuning knobs for a wolfgang standard....the Ivory ones?? I don't need the whole tuner, (they look original) just the turning peg, or knob. It looks like the originals were replaced with a nasty off white key (can't imagine why) but I would love to get the original look back. Thanks.

    Bad news (and good news)...

Those ivory tuning buttons aren't available. I don't know if Peavey had them made up exclusively for use with the Wolfgangs (and now the HP Specials), but when I contacted their parts department they would only sell me a full 3x3 set of Schaller tuners with the ivory buttons on them. The price was high. (I don't remember how high, but it was a lot.) They crack so easily (many of the ivory or black Wolfgangs listed on eBay show cracked ones) because there is a little metal bushing between the ivory plastic and the tuner piece, thus the plastic is actually quite thin. You can either replace all of the buttons with pearloid buttons (very readily available through lots of places, check www.stewmac.com and/or www.allparts.com), or check this place out: www.crazyparts.de or http://stores.ebay.com/Crazyparts-We...Q3amesstQQtZkm. It's a German company (not affiliated with Schaller) who make custom tuner buttons. When my black Standard tuner buttons started cracking I found these on eBay and bought a set. They're just a little "whiter" in color than the Peavey ones, but they are WAY better in both quality and look. I just bought another set from them last week, and while spendy (about $35 shipped), they're awesome and fit the Schaller tuners very precisely. Email them and ask about ivory tuner buttons for Schaller M6 mini tuners.
