Combine all the rumors/statements and guess what?

Hi All,

I've been combining all the rumors/statements of the last year and came up with something that I want your opinion about.

It's going to be a long post because I have a lot of explaining to do, but try to stick to it......it's worth it!

There's going to be a reunion with both Sam & Dave and VH will be bigger than ever (as stated by Mikey himself!).

This is BS, you think? Well let me explain it to ya:

The Sam & Dave tour is all planned by VH, Sam & Dave, to see if Sam and Dave can play together. That way, the VH bros want to make sure that there won't be any 'frontman-surprises' when they start to work with both of them. It's just a prelude of the biggest reunion in Rock 'n Roll history!

Eds beating cancer and losing Val sure fits as an additional reason why they didn't do a tour with both singers from the beginning.

Mikey is not neutral in this. He's the one who glues them all together! That's why he's jamming now with Sammy again and maybe also with Dave.
Both singers don't want the fans to know about this yet. So Dave's not saying anything (where he used to in the past!), playing almost only VH songs and putting the jam-session with Mike in the hold ("it's not the time yet!") Sammy's pointing to the other direction when saying that VH is over and making all those (innocent)Eddie jokes on stage.

Both Sam and Dave want to be back in VH. VH realizes that a fourth singer isn't an option.
How else could Sam and Dave be brought together after all those years of bickering at eachother?
Warner Bros only wanted Dave back in at the end and when the 'lawyer-shit' began, that plan fell apart, so that's why they split.

I remember reading somewhere that Eddie said in an interview that there were enough singers! Another piece of the puzzle!

Eddie wanted to get back to the music and party. I'm sure that he didn't meant only the recording of the Santa-album with Steve!

And yes, I do believe Steve Lukather when he mentioned that Ed & Al were laughing about their (former) singers. They're laughing because they're happy to see that it's working! To see that there IS a future with BOTH singers in VH!

You can shoot me down for posting this, but just put it all together in the right order and think clearly! I know that there are a lot of reasons why this could not be true, post them and i'll try to reply to them with a better reason why it should happen!
Feel free to give your opinion, but please don't use this to start another bickering/bash round.

No...Ed and Al are laughing at the Sam/Dave tour because it's funny that two aging rock stars can't tour w/o the VH legacy. Sam/Dave are a joke! Ain't gonna happen......

Having followed all the rumors and BS the last 4 years pretty closely... I don't find the corelation you arrived at.

IMO I find a whole lot of BS and the few public statements either official or unofficial from the band members just indicates that a few attempts were made at getting VH in some form back alive but that didn't materialize. In between all that.. I believe majority of the time gaps were due to personal situations from the band members and just a general break from the maddness of the music business.

Will VH re-emerge with any former singers... sure it's a possibility... who knows...? I mean it's a possibility I might win the lottery too but that doesn't make it inevitable.

There's probably two distinct possibilities with Mike performing/appearing at the Sam & Dave Hootinannies.

1. Mike's just bored and it's an opportunity to do something with no resulting aspects to come out of it other than he's outta the house and not driving his wife crazy...

2. Combine option 1 with some sort of bigger plan being played out as several creative imaginations have speculated...

Being a betting man at times... I'd put my money solidly on option 1... All the other stuff is just wishful thinking... although I would love to proven wrong... not by anyone here but by Van Halen themselves... [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Ummm, I think you'd be in the extreme minority in thinking this. However, to each their opinion.

Van Hannntje - I think you give VH way too much credit. Usually when someone or something has the appearance of being a mess, it usually is. VH is a mess. Sam/Dave are just trying to cash in. Nothing more, nothing less.

plus - I recall reading an interview with sammy right after he left the band saying that one thing he DID want to do (provided it could all work out) was some sort of a tour with Dave. this was years ago...

My post was never meant to be BS.

How can they come back bigger than ever? Not by making an album with a lot of different singers. That would be nice for a very short time, but surely doesn't bring them where they want to be.

There is something going on. Like Steve Lukather said 'I know to much, but can't tell ya because I have sworn secrecy'. Don't be surprised if they all reunite.

If not than Sammy and Dave's part are over and we hear from Ed & Al in some other way. I just hope that the first thing will happen!

This sounds like the most plausible scenario to me. Probably just because I'd like it to be true though. But damn, what a show, an evening with Van Halen featuring David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar! I'd be there, most definitely! When do we leave?

How about right now?
