Valerie On Larry King Live
Valerie was on Larry King Live for about twenty minutes.
Not much news, she was there promoting her new gig with Jenny Craig and losing weight.
Larry asked a couple of questions regarding Ed.
Not much news, she repeated her comments from earlier this month about what a terrific father Ed is. Confirmed how close Ed, her boyfriend, Ed's girlfriend, Wolf and her are.
She didn't directly address Ed's situation currently other than to say he was doing "really great". She began to smile when she said that. Looked forced to me, but King clearly had no idea about Ed's current situation because he didn't follow up with any questions about Ed in rehab. He asked about Wolfie first, and didn't even know Ed was his father. He never asked about Wolfie's status with Van Halen (obviously had no clue about anything current there).
Nothing too interesting here, I did learn that Val attended AA when married to Ed (to try and learn how to cope with his problem), but left because it became public and then went to private therapy.SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS
"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls
"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.
Those of you who have been on this ride before, the hottie in the mini will be around shortly with your drinks......." Red

Thanks for sharing the info.
It sucks that we have to follow Val around to try and get any insight.

I'm not shocked that Larry "kermit the frog" King was clueless. He admitted to not ever used the internet.... ever.

To not have any clue at all like that and be on CNN is just a freakin joke.Last edited by Wickett; 04.14.07 at 05:42 AM.

Larry King is by far the most uninformed interviewer on television today.

Larry King never prepares for interviews; that's his "thing." He likes to go with questions in conversation form. It doesn't always work so well, like in this instance.

The whole point is that people agree to go on Larry King Live because they won't get asked any tough questions. He's a soft interviewer, and therefore gets pretty much any guest he wants.

Exactly. Larry King defines the empty interview. His questions are truly "slow-pitch", the equal of a rain delay interview: Give 'em the mike and let 'em talk, basically filling time with emptyness. His technique is as cutting edge as a marshmellow, yet somehow not as deep.

Larry King is on auto-pilot. He needs to retire. I dont think hes ever been to a rock concert. Dave could take over his show,I think he would be better on TV than radio.
