    Default washburn n2

hey guys, ive found a washburn n2 for sale at a stupidly low price (£20).
its a 1995 model and all thats wrong with it is the neck pup doesnt work (the guys doesnt know if its dead or just a wiring problem, and anyway i'll probably replace it with a burstbucker i have lying around) and it needs a new cover over the springs on the back.
its got a floyd rose (well the washburn 600 floyd copy) and a bill lawrence 5oo bridge pup and the stephenson cutaway

just wondering if any of you guys played them or have any thoughts on them, i played one about 10yrs ago and remember thinking they were great (although reviews ive read about the new chineese ones are pretty dire).

so if anyone has any thoughts lemme know, although i'll probably buy it coz of the price anyway...lmao

The BL pup alone has got to be worth the price. I'd have his arm off if I were you.

I don't know what 20 pounds equates to, but I had an old N2, I think it was a '96 or something. It was candy apple red, and whoever had it before me put some EMG's in it, and a real Floyd... It was a good guitar, the neck was way to thin for me after awhile, but it was a comfortable guitar to play for sure...

I actually looked at some of the new ones, and they are terrible. I almost wish I had kept that old beater guitar... I'd say get it.... The only issue I ever had was a few of the frets came unseated at one point, and I just beat them back in with the end of a screw driver...

I know someone that is selling Nuno models...the old versions. www.boogiestreet.com Now, Eric has newer models, HOWEVER, he's been stocking the old version. I've actually thought about picking one up myself...Red43j

Uh... The sheer number of guitars I own (28 including basses and acoustics) drives my fiance crazy, but she knows that playing and working on them makes me happy. I'm just not allowed to keep them in the bedroom.

That's cheap at twice the price. That bad-boy would be at my house right now if I saw it.

At that price, you can buy it and resell if needed. They've always been good playing guitars, especially the older models. The only drawback for me is the body size. The 7/8's or 3/4 size is too small for my 6'4" frame. The Washburn 600 tremolo is good, but it's not as heavy as the Floyd. It's worth the replacement trem if available. Regardless though, at $40.00 US, it's worth it. I'll give you the $40.00 plus shipping if you want to send to Missouri!!

Also, there is one thing about spouses, better halves, etc. Regardless of how much gear you have...It's always too much, that is until tax time comes around and we can write it all off!!!

it seems word got out about how cheap this guitar was going for and before i had chance to slap the cash in this guys hand it went for nearly as much as a new one so i didnt bother in the end....im gonna keep an eye out on ebay and in personal adds for one though coz i really am tempted by them....but not the newer ones.....a mid 90's is gonna be the choice.
