More interesting radio comments

I was driving to class this morning and I flipped on the closest thing to a rock radio station that NE Ohio has, 97.5 WONE. Anyways, they just get done playing "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zep. and they say how great Robert Plant was at the State over the weekend. They say how great he looks. Then, out of the blue, one of the hosts says something to the effect of, "Yeah Plant really does look good for being pretty old, not like David Lee Roth." Then they said how poor Dave looks today and how his face looks like "it's stretched so tight that it's ready to fall off..."

This totally dumbfounded me. I'll be the first one to admit that Dave needs to change up the ol' wardrobe and drop some of the schtick, but I don't think anyone can say that Dave's physical appearance is lacking. I hope I'm in that good a shape when I'm as old as Dave! I wonder if this was a nationally syndicated show, or if it was just a local morning show. Anyone else up in NE Ohio hear this?

Didn't hear the show but here's my take. There's no doubt that Dave is in excellent physical condition. Hell, I wish I was in as good a shape as he is. But his face looks pretty rough and the combover doesn't help it any. Age catches up with everyone and it has caught up with Dave in his face and hairline.

AND his latest cd is VERY DISAPPOINTING. I was so pumped up for it. One or two of those songs are okay, but a WHOLE ALBUM of that shit?

It's a shame Dave's face looks the way it does, because he sure as shit worked his ass off to be this athletic at his age.

Now THAT was a terrible idea!!

Dave doesn't look that bad at all. Take a close up facial photo of most people his age and I doubt he'd stand out as looking that bad. And though I work out, I've NEVER been in the kind of physical shape he's in right now, so he's got my props for that. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Age and being in shape is what happenned to Dave's face. Someone who is thin and older will cause the skin to stretch. I'd rather have that then have a face that was blown up.

Dave is in excellent physical shape considering his age and his lifestyle. The same is true for Sammy.

The only thing Dave really needs to work on is his hair. I'm not sure what, exactly... but SOMETHING, please.

Dave is in GREAT shape- and I really don't see the age like some do in his face- the dude looks fucking great for his age, and in WAY better shape than 90% of the new bands combined.
