one with roth rest with sammy

hello everyone i am a longtime reader of this
site this is my first time posting.i have been a halen fan for 17 years and have seen all three eras of the band.i did love the roth days but i will admit i liked the sammy
years the best!i can see the band doing a tour with roth then getting back with sam for
good i think in the end these guys really are
tight!!what do you guys think!!i did get to meet the band in 98 when they were in atlanta

i'm not sure about that one. both the eras were great, but see how good sammy is on his own, compared to dave who really needs to get back in vh. i originally thought that sammy would come back simply because danniels is gone, however, he's definitely doing fine without van halen. however, even though dave and ed probably hate each other, they need each other. i'm not sure how long this will last since they do hate each other. for ed, it's either sam or dave, and sam's busy at the moment

If Ed and Al are so tight with Sammy, why isn't Sammy back then?

Ed Leffler was the glue that kept them together. Without Leffler, Ed and Al's paronoia surfaced about Sammy's solo projects and lyrics.

Trust is the key foundation for a true friendship. If they couldn't trust Sammy without Leffler babysitting their fears, were they ever REALLY friends with Sammy in the first place?

I like to see a show with Sammy again sometime too. I don't think they'll ever work together on an album again. It just seems like everyone came away from that situation feeling bad. Who knows? Who would have ever thought of them working with DLR again after the '96 fiasco.

I can't imagine Sammy ever working with VH again, but then again who'd have thought that Dave would be back again. I think that if Dave and Van Halen get back together, it should be for good. When it ends, Van Halen should call it a day. I'm hoping that happens about 2015.

Sammy already had a hard enough time following Roth once. If VH are doing a Roth reunion as a one time deal then it's for the fans and the money. You think Sammy would want to follow that?

Replacing Roth with Sammy twice seems natural to some of you. To me it sounds downright bizarre.

I'll just quickly say, that I think Van Halen has a better chance re-uniting with DLR than with Sammy.

It seems to me from years of reading interviews and shit, that DLR doesn't hate Ed, and Ed doesn't hate DLR, they just really get on eachothers nerves...

Whereas, I get the feeling, that in the last 5 years or so, there became a genuine hatred between Ed and Sam.

I believe Dave will come back, because Dave is less stubborn that Sam, and no matter what anyone says, DAVE BENEFITS the most from a reunion. A reunion with Sam wouldn't bring an already well off Hagar that much more money, whereas a not-so-well off Roth will be rich/famous again.

Time heals old wounds and makes people forget. So I wouldn't count Sammy out...
Anyway, I would love for sammy to come back and pick up where they left off. I've heard many interviews with sammy where he seems pretty positive and never really completly dismisses coming back, just not right now. Personaly I don't think Ed and Dave can make it work permanently... After an album and a tour or two they will probably split again.
