Has anyone ever taken any online courses and what is your opinion of them?

Obviously, a plus to this technique is that one can learn and take courses right from the comfort of their own home.

But, something gives me a feeling that there maybe some cons to it.

    Thoughts, suggestions?

it depends what you're looking to get out of it and what the situation is...

there are some "brick-and-mortar" schools that offer online courses as part of their regular curriculum... then, there are the schools that are strictly online...

although maybe unfair, the schools that do their teaching strictly online probably don't hold their weight against more traditional/conventional schools, as far as differentiating your credentials against someone else...

if it's just an online course that happens to be being offered by a "regular" school, there's nothing wrong with it on the surface... you just have to be sure that you're going to be able to motivate yourself enough to do the work... while there is a professor involved giving assignments, you have a safe distance from him or her, so that may be the only challenge...

Runaround... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around... around...

They saved my life! I took several throughout my college career and only had 1 bad experience (economics). It basically depends how the instructor sets up the class. If you can motivate yourself, I'd say go for it.
By the way, I'm not real good with baby-steps. My specialty is ass-kicking. -DLR

I have taken several online courses and the biggest problem is that you do more work than real world classes. I know a number of people who were taking the same classes I was in a classroom and they were shocked at the amount of work that we had to do online. I guess that it is the school's way of showing you put the time into the course that was required. It is more convenient, but there are drawbacks.
