Actually, I hadn't watched either of POTC until fall this year because I thought it was worlds biggest cheezecake ala your any other hollywood franchise. But after I watched Curse of Black Pearl something hooked me up big time. That's pretty much everything about the movie -absolutely stunning characters progression and acting (Barbossa alone for example, there are so many sides to his protagonist), then settings, cinematography, finally re-watchability - it all makes it way more than just a kids/family flick, especially considering it's marine-based storyline.

Dead man's chest, about the only things that I could have really lived without where cannibals-island sequence and the 3-side sword fighting scene. But overally it was perfectly cut, and as much as I'm not a fan of pure action, those Cracken vs ship1 vs Black Pearl moments really kept me glued to the chair.

All in all there are only two movies where sequels beat original films - Terminator 2 and Two Towers/Return of the King. I don't expect for At World's End to be an exception

I don't know crap about movies dude, people always tell me the same thing that you just did . I've 'heard' of the ..Tiger.. movie because it was nominated for Academy award back in the late 90-ies. I hope he doesn't fight like martial arts god in POTC3 though! That's a right step to cheeze level

I agree with most - the first movie is better than the second. The second had a little too much goofiness in it. The third movie just looks STELLAR from the trailer, which I have on DVR and on my MySpace blog so I can watch it whenever I want to! It is supposed to be much darker.
