Yep, "Monkey Man" Kattan poked a little fun at Diamond Dave. He was dressed up in thay white tour guide suit from California Girls. He just said "didbopditbop" Then, as he left the scene, he lifted his hat to make fun of Dave's hairline.
SNL Sucks! Dave a one hit wonder has been. Shit!

SNL has sucked for years!!! They are just poking fun to get more attention because they know something is "up" in VH land!

I think this season has been great. Will Ferrell is doing a good job as George W. Bush and Jimmy Fallon has become a key member of the show.

No, apparrently, this was a new "Napster" sketch or something (I deliberately ignored it after being forewarned at the PD)
Let's just say that SNL hasn't done anything GOOD related to Van HALEN since Adam Sandler left the show.

Damn, I missed it!! That's what happens when you get old. You have one beer and are in bed before 10 o' clock.
Any attention for VH, at this time, is good attention.

I like SNL, glory days for me with them started with "Wayne's World" and the whole group(dana carvey, phil hartman, jon luvitz, chris farley, and david spade) tore it up with the help of a few actresses that have left me with cool memories of SNL.
Now, the past 3or 4 years were lame but SNL is getting better this past year with the talent they found. DH sums it up with JF, I think though that new chick on News Update is a hidden gem, and she rocks. That NU is some hellarious shit when they both interact to say news. Collin Quin seemed to bomb with his jokes consistently, but Kevin Nealin was the shit! His "sumbliminal" messages!? Lmfao ...

Conan O'Brien was hosting the show, and I believe he is an avid VH fan. (Good friends with Sandler). He also was writer for SNL in the past, so I'm sure they allowed him to add his two cents worth again. Did you notice how all the other singers had to sing their songs so people would recognize who they where, except DLR. "DidleoBop!"

SNL has been great lately, in my opinion. They've had excellent luck with the election, and overall their sketches have been improving in quality and variety since they got stuck in that horrible "Spartan Cheerleader" funk two years ago.
The DLR dig was funny. I'm a huge Van Halen fan just like anyone else here. But face it, if Dave's going to dress up like a goof and remake "Just a Giggolo", he's going to take some shit for it. The thing that makes Dave cool is that he would look at that sketch and laugh along with it.

yeah i saw that... i thought it was kinda funny... i just KNEW someone had to make the comment that because they made fun of him, they know something is up in van halen, blah blah... i think that's funny... "oh man, i heard an early van halen song the other day on the radio i had never heard... must mean that they know something is up in van halen and so they're playing older stuff", etc etc... (just pickin' with yaw)...
i think SNL is having one of their better seasons... i think it's the best season in years, since the farleys and sandlers left and were replaced with will ferrell, darroll hammond, etc...

I thought that skit was hilarious "Mr. Lee Roth, can you tell us your opinion on Napster"
"Bebop BebeBop"
LOL that was great. And I agree that snl has gotten much better. Ferrel, Hammonds, Parnell and Katan are funny as hell.

Right now I'm watching this VH1 thing about SNL performances and that dinner scene with VH will be on.

I have that on video and after watching i see he didnt raise his hat purposely, he was movin around and knocked it a little and it fell off a some. So i dont really think it was purposely done as a hair joke, just an accident. Just thought i would throw that in.

It's just Sammy improvising. It's not from an existing song/cover piece. Might actually have been a lyric chunk Sam had ready to go. Sounds like he was not expecting the riff that Ed launched into...
