51 squier

I got a 51 squier and although I like the sound and playability, I would like to beef it up a bit, get better harmonics, deeper sound, any suggestion on what would be the best pickups to change out or any other modifications I can make to make a cheeper guitar sound better?

I picked up a sunburst 51 a few weeks ago. So far I've pulled the pick guard and filled all the screwholes. Painted the single coil cover black and installed a black pickup ring I got from Stew-mac. Removed the ugly black Squier logo on the headstock and put on a spahgetti gold Fender logo.

I've been debating changing the pickups... they actually don't sound bad on my rig. If I do I think I'll go with a GFS Vintage 59 on the bridge... the single coil sounds just fine so it stays. Only other mod I plan is to get a GFS replacement bridge whenever they get them back in stock.
