    Default Trem Arm Question...

Okay, let's see if I can describe this correctly...

When I use my tremelo, after several uses, it gets stuck like I screwed it in all the way... I always screw it in all the way and then back it off a full rotation... I have to unwind it a turn or so to free it up...

Why is it continuing to get stuck when I am not winding it around to being screwed in all the way???

    How do I fix this???

Have you oiled the screw part of the bar? A very small drop of household oil will work for a long time.

I thought maybe something needs to be tightened or loosened on the assembly where it screws into like the nut on top on the trem or the rear...

    BTW, homeunit, good answer!!! LOL...

AT, I'll try the oil trick... Any oil in particular???

3in1 oil works just fine, and you only need a small drop.

You can tighten down the assembly in back; it's easiest to do it during string changes when you can take the bridge right out.

I like to keep my trem arms "stopped" just beyond the volume knob so I always know where they are (and they don't swing around when I'm moving on stage).

If you take the plate off the back of the guitar where the springs are, you'll see a bolt on the bottom of the Floyd Rose by the high E. Just stick your allen wrench in there (the same one you use for the 3 bolts on the nut) and tighten it up. Mine comes loose ocasionally on my guitars too.
