I don't usually like watching a human die on camera, but I cheered the killing shot by that deputy sharpshooter.

How did the sharpshooter hit him? Through the side window?

two words:two shots
I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

f*n a-hole... i knew two brothers who were my neighbors who lost their mom outside a courthouse when their uncle shot his wife (their aunt) and her either after or before a divorce trial (the details have left me a bit... it happened about 20 years ago; we were all young)... she had gone along to give her sister moral support... i'm glad this guy got his due, but he took so many people with him...

I'm going to be a real killjoy here.
There are enough stupid or impressionable people in the world. The kind that watches dumbed-down adrenalin TV and gets a kick out of it. The kind of people that watch TV or read magazines and alter their perspectives and actions based on what others do.
Basically those that are either unable or too lazy to think for themselves.
So this kind of programming (I assume it's from a TV show), at best, is irresponsible.
I'm not talking about news or showing people what happens in the world.
This is about presentation and this clip just about sums up what is wrong with modern programming. The voice over is just plain sensationalistic garbage, hyping the viewer up into a frenzy of excitement, so, come the final kill, the viewer is in an altered state, the lower the IQ, the higher the emotion.
What we saw was a man, mentally imbalanced in the least, kill a lot of innocent people and then get himself wasted. Nothing glamorous about that, yet, with this idiot rambling on throughout this massacre, we somehow feel connected and ultimately justified.
This is just plain bad news.
Watch it again with the sound off.
It is a film showing people die.

I didn't watch the video because I read your comments first and now I have no interest in seeing this. But I have to ask one question - why the fuck would Youtube allow that to be on there? Would a little common decency be asking too much here? They have the ability to police their own site and if that video isn't worth policing then what it? And people wonder why this country is fucking nuts.

As graeme pointed out, it originally comes from a TV show or a TV programme. I might as easily have been in papers and on radio with the very same blockbuster-esque narrative.

Well I think that's a copout. i can certainly handle the internet, I've been just fine for 10 years now. Just saying that I don't see why Youtube can't have SOME kind of standards. There are kids everywhere watching that video of a guy killing people then getting killed himself. I don't see how that adds any value of any kind to anybody. I would like to think that the powers that be at Youtube could look at that and say, "we don't need that shit on our site." The internet would not be worse off without it. Yes, I'm well aware that there is porn and all kinds of shit out there, but people getting murdered is pretty much where the line should be drawn. Just my opinion..

As much as I believe in the phrase, "if you buy the land you gotta know that there will be Indians..."
I agree with you because the net is an open forum. There are no boundaries. YouTube should have some decency and say regardless of who clicks on this link and who MIGHT want to see this...it is not right. My man, when you are fantasizing, don't go for attainable, you can get attainable at the local Applebee's. - Dave's Dreidel

It's amazing how much easier it is to watch that with the sound on. I was trying to watch it yesterday with the sound off, and ended up stopping the video before it ended. Today, I had the sound on, and I felt compelled to watch the whole thing, to get to the end.
A very sad story, but I, like LowLife, was glad to see the guy get it in the end."Viking - last to sleep, first to rise, last to leave, that's how the Nords of old rocked the house." ~ timmac in the 'Texas Linkers' thread talking about yours truly. :-)
