Baby shark on the way...

So, it's official... my wife and I are expecting our first child. Found out for sure today, and it's a real blessing since we've been trying without success for about a year now. If it hadn't happened this month we were all lined up to go with IVF treatments -- a costly and emotionally challenging process.

It's obviously very early, and technically the wife and I agreed not to tell anyone until after the first trimester. But since my wife is blissfully unaware of the URL of this board (and the time I spend here), she'll probably never find out that I broke our pact.

Anyways, just wanted to share the news with you guys. I'm stoked!

Of course, the scary part now is that I have to actually grow up enough to be a FATHER...

Being a dad takes every emotion you have ever had & magnifies it exponentially. It's a heck of a ride. I just wish I hadn't waited until I was 33 to get on.

Great news Shark!! Being a Dad is a great experience....a lot of change is ahead, but it is very rewarding...especially when you are involved as much as possible. Your wife will surely appreciate it if you are there for the appointments up to the delivery and after. Cut the cord bro...it is an emotional rush. You will not regret it!

Keep us informed and ask anything, someone has probably gone through it here.

Please dont have any of those baby showers were the men all have to come as well. I dont know of one guy that enjoys those.

Woah. Many congrats to you M. That's really terrific news and I'm really happy for you. You're going to be a great Dad for sure. My little guy is coming up on a year now and my God he's sooo fun. You're really in for one of lifes biggest blessings...no, probably THE biggest. God bless you and the missy.
