My brain tumor is back.

4 years ago I had surgery for a brain tumor. They were able to remove 90+ % of it & I fully recovered. That remaining 10% has grown enough to warrant surgery again. It will be in a couple of weeks at Duke University in Durham, NC. Last time I had a 5 month old son. This time he's 4 w/ a 2 year old brother. I'll be out of commission for 6-8 weeks depending on the amount of damage that's done when they go cutting. Having been thru it once already it's not so much a fear of the unknown that's bothering me. It's more a dread of the known. At any rate, it's in God's hands & he's not going to put more on me than I can handle so I'll continue to trust him. For those of you that believe in the power of prayer please pray for me, my family & the medial staff at Duke that will be taking care of me.

Thanks guys. It's definitely a wild ride. I told my wife Thursday on the way to the check-up that I felt like it was going to be bad news. But, at least it's operable. There's a lot of people that would love to be in my situation. Each time we go up there (every 6 months) we see someone who's got it worse. So, in that, I am thankful. I'll update when I get a firm date for surgery. Right now it's hurry up & wait.
