Default Classic VH's legacy is still in tact. Is Van Hagars?

Well, now that I have had a few days to get over the VR-VH hall of fame traveshamockery, I am only having positive thoughts.

Dave didn't go out there and play Unchained with trumpets and trombones. Ed was in rehab. Alex didn't show and didn't give a reason. I would have to say that their legacy is still in tact, and Van Hagars has been tarnished. (even the biggest Sammy fans cannot deny that WCTBL totally sucked.) As that dude on American Idol would say, "I don't know dog, it was a bit pitchy, I didn't like those runs...it just wasn't right..."

Now. I know Ed is in rehab, but it is not for a torn acl or broken back, which would keep him out of commission for a long time. I assume rehab will fix the physical issues of alcoholism, and also help with the emotional and issues that Ed "can control." Depending on how well Ed does (positive thoughts guys), he may be better than ever in around 60 days. I guess the biggest concern is whether a company will front the tour with him.......

We may have a great tour coming this summer with Roth, and will never have to cringe thinking about Roth singing Runnin' with the Devil with R.E.M. and Aretha Franklin.

But please, keep that Velvet Revolver sucks thread going. I love it.
    Right here I say....

And Strummin' with the Devil was NOT tarnishing?
We are all on this forum because of Van Halen. Period.

    Anyone got a padlock?
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

"he may be better than ever in around 60 days"? One of two things here. Either you really have no idea how recovery from alcoholism works or you just don't care. As far as images being tarnished is concerned, everyone in this band has had their image tarnished to some certain degree at one point or another.

You've got to be kidding me? Isn't there anything else more important to waste database space on than that kind of a thread? I know Sammy haters hate him no matter what, but let's come up with something better than that. I don't think Van Halen with Sammy is in any worse shape to the general public than Van Halen with Dave. At least they got the tour in '04 off the ground. I realize Ed's rehab is the reason why they haven't got it going with Dave, but they put the cart before a horse that didn't even exist yet. Let's concentrate on other issues rather than coming up with another 'Sammy sucks' thread. Give it a rest for a while.
