Default Hall Question - Cleveland VH Exhibit

OK - so now that it's official over, and the boys are in the hall, what is there to see in the Cleveland Musuem that's VH related? Do they get a cheesy plaque? Or is it worth making the trip to see original memorabilia etc.
    Anyone know?
    Thanks.

Dunno. But if Montrose makes the RRHOF, then Sammy will have a choice to make, because you can't be in 2 bands in the RRHOF.

What if Sammy Hagar is elected to the Hall as a solo artist..would that be 3 bands he is in? Man ED would flip his lid!

Hagar is ten times more talented than Dave was in his prime. Sammy is happy, successful, a musician, a business entrepeneur, a singer, a guitarist, a family man, and all around good guy. Dave is miserable, pathetic, a vaudville act, a failure since the late 80's, bitter, angry, alone, and a general pain in the ass.

The RRHOF is a mess, when I was there a couple of years ago, Britney Spears had stuff on display, I could not even find an area where it said who was in the HOF.

I don't mean to offend anyone and this is only one person's opinion, but the rock and roll hall of fame is something like a nice finished basement. I was just there about 6 months ago and was entirely underwhelmed. The new building looks awesome, but there's not a lot of cool stuff to see unless you're interested in Jimi's costumes, a wall of Rolling Stone covers or an 8-foot section on The Beatles. (8 feet! Do you think they could have come up with more stuff on the greatest rock band ever?)

In addition, the "stuff" that they have (I hesitate to call it memorabilia) is like eBay gone wild: a lunchbox of The Beatles or a bunch of Motown outfits. The entire main exhibit would make a nice introductory hall but that's about it. By far, the coolest thing that they have are some handwritten John Lennon notes songs. (They're stuffed away at the end of the 8 foot section.)

If you're going to visit the RRHOF as a part of one day, wrapped in with an Indians game and whatever else there is to do in Cleveland, go ahead...it's your $20. (I think that's how much it was for admission, per person.) But don't make it the centerpiece of your trip...you'll be disappointed.

And I've seen cooler EVH stuff at the Hard Rock cafe.

Oh, yeah! I forgot about the whole section of outfits from Britney, Christina (which would have been okay if she was in it!), the Backseat Boys, 98 degrees, etc. I don't know what they have to do with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but...whatever.

I went a couple of years ago and it was kind of lame. There was only one pic of Ed in there and that was the only VH related thing. Seeing the Jimi Hendrix display was kind of cool. I could do without the Brittney Spears and boy band displays. I could have also done without seeing the upstairs display on the supremes outfits. I was hoping to see more musical gear. Oh well at least I got to see George Harrison's telecaster from the rooftop concert. That was almost worth the whole trip.

I haven't been there but it sounds like visiting any one of the Hard Rock Cafe's would be just as thrilling (that's not saying much).

Anyway, I think Sammy should donate his red capri pants (yellow ones too) from the 2004 tour. Same with Eddie's beat up orange pants. Mostly so they won't wear them again. Of course, there's gotta be some DLR spandex on display. A VH display wouldn't be complete without some of Ed's guitars IMHO.

Fullbug it is a friggin joke..much like most of your posts. Calm down, Jesus. Of course Sammy will not get in as a solo artist but what does it matter now that he is OFFICIALLY a HALL of FAMER.
