The Americanized version is pronounced Ludwig. The European version sounds more like Lode-a-wick. Replacing the "w" sound with a "v" sound is also acceptable.

Man, the hall was rocking ! At least for the video segment ! WTF set in during VR. But the majority of the crowd were VH fans so the nice coctail party turned quickly into a rock concert once the VH segment started. That's not correct. The Dutch "w" is pronounced the same way as in German and sounds like an English "v". So, EVHWolf's pronunciation was right, it's "Lode Ah Vike"; the German variant (Ludwig) would be pronounced "Loot Vic". Originally Posted by m4rk0
