Back in December I posted about how long-time Rush manager and CEO/President of Anthem-SRO, Ray Daniels, was to be inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame on March 8th. March 8th came and went last week ... and with all the excitement of the last few days this bit of news fell under the radar. The ceremony took place in Toronto this past Thursday and several pictures of the event were made available by The Canadian Music Scene including one of Rush congratulating Ray via video. You can check out all the pics here. There's also this pic of Geddy and Alex arriving at the CMIs floating around the net. Which is a little confusing to me since they congratulated Ray via video. Maybe they were only able to attend a portion of the event and couldn't make it for the part where Ray was inducted? Not sure. If anyone can shed some light, let me know.

I am busy right now, but I would fully expect to see this head removed via photoshop (or a reasonable facsimille thereof) and treated with the utmost indignity in the appropriate forum.

I can just hear Norm (yes, Canadian) MacDonald doing the SNL news, stating something to the effect of...... "The Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame today announced that their 2007 induction ceremonies have been set to the date of March 8th, coincidently 3 days before the U.S. RRHOF inductions; which oddly enough includes the presumed mostly absent Van Halen.
