Thanks Ed, its long overdue, but don't you think you should be doing this for you and your family-not the fans as your statement indicates.
Whatever the reason, its great. I just think the statement shows where Ed is mentally. Confused, worn out and un-focused on any of the issues he should be.
Valerie would be NUTS to let that kid hit the road with the hard partying EVH and I would lay odds, she got pissed off, the shit hit the fan and this is what really led to Ed making this decision. His hand was definatley forced by someone. He wouldnt be doing it on his own. My guess is, Val came to here senses and put her foot down and Ed wants this so bad, that he's finally doing the right thing. Its a perfect chance for here and Wolfie to get this done for Ed. Something that moivates him to cut through the alcohol haze.
Lets hope this leads to 15-20 years of sober, talented output of legendary guitar paying and music. We all want it and we want it to be the top notch EVH we all knew.
