It was the first thing he talked about when he got on the air this morning. They were trying to get him to come on the show at some point. I guess Gary called him off the air and said he won't be there and that having Velvet Revolver play is bullshit.

EDDIE VAN HALEN'S HALL OF FAME MYSTERY:
There has been considerable speculation this week again surrounding the situation in Van Halen and also status of who will turn up at the Hall Of Fame ceremony Monday. At this point things seem to have changed yet again and my sources - to the best of their knowledge - are betting on Eddie and Alex not being present.
Once again no one is talking or commenting one way or the other. As far as I was aware the brothers were not going to appear until that newswire item appeared last Friday night stating they would go (but not quoting anyone...). That story remains unconfirmed and this week no one would reply to my enquiries.
Funnily enough - I talk to a lot of people - and none of their enquiries or calls are being returned either. It is an information lock down!
So, my money is on Sammy, Mike and Dave being present and that is it.
There whereabouts of Eddie Van Halen in all this continues to be debated. I am told many around him have been pushing for him to attend the ceremony, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Only if Ed told him not to, and he was worried about losing his place in whatever form of VH remains.

I think Dave will be there though. If he's not....then I guess he would really have become Ed's bitch.

The presence of Ed and Al would appear to depend almost solely on Ed's status with rehab/addiction recovery. They are dealing with a very tenuous situation day-to-day, which is why they don't even know what will happen. They reserved tables in the event they decide to go. It is not business as usual right now in the VH camp.

Personally, and this is coming from a guy who likes Stern,...I think he's full of shit when it comes to VH.

He flip flops from one idea to the next about this band. First he said once that Dave wanted keyboards and Ed didn't. That's why he left in 1985.

However...I know Dave and Stern are GOOD friends and they talk on an occasional basis...so who knows.

I would LOVE if Sammy and Mike were the only ones there. The true heart of the band....and they aren't even in the band anymore. That would be hilariously GREAT!

It would show the whole world how fucked up this band truly is. Because as of right now the press is kissing up to VH big time. They haven't even acknowledged Mikey's unruly firing
