A self-admitted pedophile has removed from his Web site a family photo of Democratic Sen. Barack Obama, his wife and two daughters after receiving a cease and desist order from the presidential candidate's attorney.


Proud pedophile Lindsay Ashford, who runs Puellula Web site based in Panama, said despite the request from Obama attorney Robert F. Bauer, he is keeping up a link to the senator's presidential campaign site, in part because he considers it a tribute.

"I have no intention of removing references to Senator Obama and his family from my website. Whatever anybody thinks of my opinions, they are not defamatory. If anything, my comments are laudatory. Furthermore, my right to express my opinion is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution," he wrote in a letter to Bauer.

Ashford's response came after Bauer wrote on behalf of Obama ordering the family photo to be removed.

"The image you use on your Web site is used without the express permission of the copyright owner, and constitutes copyright infringement. Your willful and unauthorized copying of this copyrighted picture subjects you to substantial criminal and civil damages and penalties," Bauer wrote.

Bauer also wrote that Obama's family photo on the site leaves a misimpression among those who would read Ashford's blog.

"Pedophilia — sex with under-age children — is illegal in the United States and many countries of the world. Your inclusion of a pictures associated with Senator Obama personally and Obama for America on your website creates two highly misleading and untrue impressions: first, that Senator Obama and/or Obama for America share your views, and second, that Senator Obama and/or Obama for America have authorized or sponsored your site, or are affiliated or associated with you in any way. Your actions are overtly defamatory of Senator Obama and Obama for America, infringe upon the rights of publicity of Senator Obama and his family, and have the potential to cause serious and irremediable harm.

"Your actions are particularly objectionable — if not outright dangerous — because you have included a picture of Senator Obama's young daughters on a site advocating pedophilia with young girls, heightening the risk they face. This is not simply defamatory, but is a criminal act," Bauer wrote in the letter dated Feb. 26. Calls placed to Obama and Bauer's offices were not immediately returned.

Ashford, who is brazen enough to post his photo on his site along with a long biography that reveals he has a daughter, wrote Bauer to say that pedophilia itself is not the same as child molestation and is not illegal on its face.

"Pedophilia, according to the definition of the American Psychiatric Association is a sexual attraction to children. It does not imply any action whatsoever upon that attraction. ... Whilst I agree that under the laws of many nations, sexual contact with children is illegal, my website does not encourage anybody to break the law. In fact, it clearly discourages illegal activity. It does support using democratic means to encourage dialogue and reconsider such statutes," Ashford wrote.

The APA notes that pedophilia is a mental disorder that can be treated with drugs and cognitive-behavioral therapy but prospects for successful treatment and rehabilitation are "guarded." The APA also states that "an adult who engages in sexual activity with a child is performing a criminal and immoral act and this is never considered normal or socially acceptable behavior."

The site Puellula, the Latin diminutive of girl, is a forum not only for Ashford to describe his fascination with "girllove" and describe himself as "somebody who is physically and romantically attracted to young girls," it offers advice for living as a pedophile and for individuals coping with learning that a partner is a pedophile.

Aside from the adoration of young girls, Ashford also uses the site to rail against the United States, which he calls "the Evil Empire," and post anti-Israel commentary, among other topics.

Ashford apparently first predicted last April that the winner of the 2008 presidential contest would be the person who had the cutest daughters. Writing that an opponent of his wrote the candidates to ask them to take action, no one did anything until last week, when he received the letter from Obama's attorney. Obama entered the presidential race in December.

Ashford said despite the content of his site, he would hope that Obama would appreciate the democratic flavor of his site.

"I certainly hope that Senator Obama would agree that debate and public discourse are important facets of any democratic society, irrespective of how distasteful some may find particular issues," he said.

The great thing about this is that he's in Panama. The Panamanains probably aren't thrilled that this guy lives there and I'm damned sure that if he goes missing that they're not going to look too hard for him either. It takes less than month for a body to decay in the Darien jungle and become an unreckonizable black mass of goo and bone.

BTW, I'm planning to vacation in Panama later this year.

curiousity got the better of me...i went to the dude's site...he has a list of pedophiles through the ages so-to-speak...included are king david, muhammed, thomas edison and...Jimmy Page....it's a total "thank heaven for little girls" kinda site...leaves you feeling kind icky...but hey...what would a presidential race be without a little pedophilia!?

Oh, and I am planning on killing a month in Panama. You can rent a house there for a month for around $1000, fully furnished. I month will give me time to see all the targets of Operation Just Cause, plus do some hiking in the jungles and - hopefully hit on some Colombian chicks who are there on vacation.

A Web site created by a pedophile is a virtual "how-to" manual, complete with the best places in western Washington state to see little girls, and tops on how to avoid getting caught by the police.

The site, titled "Seattle-Tacoma Everett Girls Love," has been around for a few years. The police know all about it, yet they say they can't shut it down because the site is legal.

The man who runs it, 45-year-old Jack McClellan, has never been convicted of a sex crime, which means he can attend any family-friendly events where children are present, and take all the pictures he wants for his Web site.

McClellan says his purpose is to promote association, friendship and legal, consensual hugging and cuddling between men and pre-pubescent girls. He admitted to FOX News that his "age of attraction" is between 3 and 11 years old.

"I guess the main thing is I just think they're cute, a lot cuter than women. I admit there is kind of an erotic arousal there," McClellan said.

McClellan wants to bring pedophiles out of the closet and give them a way to get some relief, by going out and being around little girls. He suggests a number of places, such as plays at elementary schools, parks, swimming pools and libraries.

Parents are understandably outraged. FOX News spoke to the mother of an 8-year-old girl whose picture appeared on the Web site. The picture was taken at a dance recital.

"You have one in your face and you can't do anything about it because there's not a law to protect them from that," said parent Ann Cialoa. "It's scary, and the fact that we're going to wait around for him to violate before we do something."

McClellan has convinced himself that he won't do anything illegal, and he believes he can be an example to other pedophiles.

But police and prosecutors are watching him closely to see if he crosses the line. A handful of state legislators are looking at drafting a new law. But until they do, he's free to continue pushing pedophilia.

Self-Proclaimed Pedophile Admits He'd Have Sex With Little Girls If It Were Legal

An admitted pedophile chased out of Seattle for running a "how-to" Web site defended his right to post pictures of little girls, telling FOX News that he is considering a possible lawsuit against the Santa Monica, Calif., police department for posting his picture on their Web site after he recently surfaced there.

"I haven't really started the process," Jack McClellan, 45, told FOX News. "[Santa Monica police] questioned me last week in a restaurant, and right before they left one of the officers asked if they could take my picture.

"I figured this might be beneficial if a child is sexually assaulted in Santa Monica — they could just pull that out and immediately eliminate me as a suspect," he said.

"I had previously explained to him my concerns about all the threats and everything and it didn't even enter my mind that they would immediately turn around and put this out as some kind of a sex offender notification... It was on the Internet the very next day."

In fact, warnings that McClellan had surfaced in Santa Monica spread like wildfire, with several posting his mug shot along with descriptions of his car — a Blue 1993 Ford Escort two-door with Washington license plate — and even hourly postings of sightings throughout Santa Monica.

Circulating a flier with McClellan's description and a warning of his whereabouts is unusual for the police considering he's not wanted for any crime, and has never been convicted of any sexually related crimes. The flier simply warns parents about McClellan's residence in the area and of his proclivity for little girls.

When pressed, McClellan, 45, insisted he was doing nothing wrong by posting photos of children as young as 3, even admitting that he would have sex with little girls if it weren’t against the law.

McClellan ran the Web site “Seattle-Tacoma-Everett Girl Love” from where he lived in Washington state, until it was shut down by its server after widespread public outrage.

Appearing wearing his trademark dark sunglasses, McClellan faced Ron Tebo, a father who created the Web site www.jackmcclellan.com to counter the self-proclaimed pedophile's actions and "take traffic away."

In a dramatic on-air confrontation, Tebo pressed McClellan to respond to allegations that he was still taking pictures of children.

"I don't do it anymore," McClellan said, adding that his latest Web site no longer was available online.

Pressed further to explain whether he had the right to post pictures of little girls, McClellan said, "I'm not doing anything illegal."

Appearing earlier on "The Morning Show With Mike & Juliet," McClellan made this startling admission:

"I got to be honest with you — if it was legal and if it was a completely consensual thing, I could see myself taking it all the way to a sexual [level].”

McClellan has never been convicted of a sex crime, and police say they have had no legal grounds on which to shut down any of his Web sites because the content and photos posted on them haven't been pornographic.

McClellan tells other pedophiles where to go to be around children — suggesting swimming pools, parks, elementary-school plays and libraries. When he was posting photos, they would be pictures he’d snapped when he was in places where children were gathered.

McClellan even rated his photo shoots — from one-to-five hearts — for fellow pedophiles, assigning one heart for places or events that failed to attract an abundance of little girls, to five hearts for photo shoots offering a plethora of young children.

He has said he is attracted to little girls between the ages of 3 and 11.

“My primary physical and emotional attraction is to pre-pubescent girls,” he said on the FOX morning show on Tuesday.

FOX News first interviewed McClellan in March, when he was still in Washington.

“I guess the main thing is I just think they’re cute, a lot cuter than women,” he said then. “I admit there is kind of an erotic arousal there.”

McClellan has insisted he was never sexually abused as a child, and repeated that claim Tuesday on FOX News.

The reason he created the Web site is to promote association, friendship and legal, consensual cuddling between men and pre-pubescent girls, he told FOX News.

"I really think a lot of this pedophilia hysteria is overblown. I think there are a lot of people like me,” McClellan told FOX News in March. "They have the attraction but they're not going to do anything physical because of the laws. It just makes me happy to attend these events."
