-Eddie quit rehab after only a few days, so he's back to square one unfortunately.

-Ed and his girlfriend/publicist are engaged.

-Don't blame Dave for the tour falling through. He was good to go with everything and was playing nice with everyone.

Guys, Van Fan has been giving us credible info for years now. I know lately there's been a lot of "insiders" posting claiming to know stuff that turned out bullshit, but VF is not one of them.

Minor question-

I understand Ed's issues for not going and it's sad to hear things aren't working out well with his recovery, but why can't AL step up and represent the brothers at the Rock Hall ceremony?

That really sucks that Ed's recovery isn't working out well. This could take a long time for him to beat

If Ed quit rehab, then no way is anyone going to invest in this tour. They probably tore up any existing paperwork the second he stepped out that door.

Being a newbie (kind of, less than a year) around these parts I'm taking your word on VF's validity.
But, very good point about Al. I think it would've been a stretch had Al not gone because Ed was in rehab and couldn't attend. But, at least he could claim solidarity with his brother.
I don't see any reason he can't venture out just because Ed quit rehab. Is he afraid to travel alone??

Most people I know that are 50+ have somehow overcome that fear.

Couldn't agree more on the Ed part. It's sad. I just hope we don't hear about his untimely passing. Let's hope he can find the will at some point to kick it.

These are sad days. But just because he quit, doesn't mean he won't follow through at some point. Many people have to give it multiple shots before it takes.
I'm not optimistic, but I wouldn't say Van Halen is done forever just yet.

if all of these events of the last few weeks are as bad as we think they are, think about how somber that ceremony is going to be at the RRHOF when it's time for VH... it think it's worse because you'd be thinking of a guy who still alive and in bad shape, rather than reflecting on someone who has passed on...
