    Default Floyd Rose installation question

i just bought a floyd rose from ebay, and want to know if theres any serious work that i'll need to do in order to make it work right. First, does the locking nut fit just as any other nut would on the neck or will i have to make the gap bigger for it to fit. Second, does the bridge screw right into the body as any regular bridge would or is there any routing that needs to be done. This is going to be my first time working with or installing a floyd rose so im sorry if these are basic questions. By the way, the floyd rose is a single locking trem. The guitar im installing it on is an OLP MM1. Thanks for any help and answers. Any information is appreciated

You'll need to route a shelf for your locking nut, drill holes for the pivot posts, possibly add a neck shim, and adjust your bridge saddles for proper intonation.

If you have no experience doing these sort of things, I'd suggest taking it to someone who does.

Yes, I concur. Based on your question it sounds like it's not something you've tried before. There is quite a lot of preparation that needs to be done for this type of modification. Take it to an expert.
