5150 combo bias situation
5150 combos don't need a bias mod do they? I heard they had enough current running through the power tubes (38 mA+) that crossover distortion wouldn't be a problem. I know the heads need the mod because they don't have near enough current and no adjustment, and even the 5150II heads because the range for the bias adjustment isn't high enough. Anyways, it's getting time for a retube so I thought some of you tech savvy 5150 combo owners might know.
Thanks

Well I'm not tech savy per-say, but my amp tech has always said if you have a 5150 of any variety get a bias mod. Apparently they're biased very cold so they can take a lot of abuse, but my tech says that there is a night and day difference with the mod.
