Awards:
THOSE BLUE COFFEE CUPS?
What's the deal with those blue paper coffee cups that I keep seeing in movies and TV?
Watch any scene where a few cops are standing around in the cold rain, and you will probably see them.
there should be an award for most generic working prop with steam.

You can find more information about these cups at the following URL as well as buy your very own ceramic one. http://www.wearehappytoserveyou.com/
I'm originally from NY and these are used at just about every place that serves coffee to go in the city. A few years back I came across the ceramic ones and thought it was a good piece of NY nostalgia and bought one for my girlfriend. It's crazy how an ordinary paper cup has become so famous.

If you mean this:
then that's a pretty generic cup that real diners use. Not sure about a bluescreen friendly cup!

I used to have a Soul Asylum concert shirt years ago that had that logo on the front. Great show, BTW.
Don't drink the Jim Jones punch. They're called theToxic Twins for a reason...

several years ago while driving down a certain local street with a friend in queens, ny, i saw two out of shape cops standing on a corner outside a diner literally drinking coffee and eating donuts... i yelled out something to the effect of, and not maliciously, but more in a smart alecky sort of way, "oh what a surprise, cops with coffee and donuts!"
the angry look of death they gave me as we drove away was utterly priceless!

darthadv,
I just noticed that you are also from NY. Whereabouts in Queens are you from? I grew up in Astoria.

That's cool darthadv. Do you mind if I ask where you went to school? Maybe we were classmates. I went to PS 70 for elementary and JHS 10 for a couple of years before I moved to California around '85.
I'm looking forward to the movie "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" which is about growing up in Astoria. It should be a good trip down memory lane for me.

Licorice Pizza Didn't like it. I thought this would be some sort of return to form for Paul Thomas Anderson. Nope. He fooled me again.
