    Default DLR getting ready?

Must be getting ready for the VH Porn Soundtrack Summer Tour.
Maybe Eddie will put out his classis porn movie soundtrack CD!

David Lee Roth re-release "Classics" ?
    Found on Blabbermouth

On April 3, 2007, Friday Music will re-release three much-sought-after classic recordings from the legendary DAVID LEE ROTH Warner Brothers catalog: "A Little Ain't Enough" (FRM 1054), "Your Filthy Little Mouth" (FRM 1055) and the highly collectable "Sonrisa Salvaje" (FRM 1053) ("Eat 'Em and Smile" sung in Spanish). All three albums have been re-mastered by Joe Reagoso, and each compact disc comes complete with the original graphics and artwork keeping the integrity and spirit of the original releases.

"Sonrisa Salvaje" is receiving its first ever release on compact disc, making this highly anticipated Roth album finally available to his fans. Originally released in 1986 for a very short time on vinyl, this much coveted collector's item has fetched high dollars at auctions over the years. David Lee Roth gives a great performance along with his band at the time, Steve Vai (guitars), Billy Sheehan (bass) and Gregg Bissonette (drums). This collector's dream features ten rocking Spanish versions of classics like "Loco Del Calor!" ("Goin' Crazy"), "Yankee Rose" and "En Busca De Pleito" ("Big Trouble").

Often regarded as one of his most defining hard rock moments, Roth's platinum-plus "A Little Ain't Enough" features twelve incredible tracks produced by Bob Rock (METALLICA, MÖTLEY CRÜE). This 1991 smash continues the tradition with Roth staples like "Hammerhead Shark", "A Lil' Ain't Enough", "40 Below" and "Shoot It". Featured players include Jason Becker (lead guitar), Steve Hunter (guitars), Brett Tuggle (keyboards and vocals), Gregg Bissonette (drums) and Matt Bissonette (bass and vocals).

1994's "Your Filthy Little Mouth" is one of Roth's more prolific projects, and highly regarded as one of his best albums to his huge fan base. Produced by Nile Rodgers (DAVID BOWIE, DURAN DURAN) this album churns non-stop with fourteen classic Roth performances. Radio staples "She's My Machine" and "Everybody's Got The Monkey" and the bluesy "Sunburn" are only a few of the shining moments on this classic release. Includes the core band of Terry Kilgore (guitar), John Regan (bass), Tony Beard (drums) and Richard Hilton (keyboards).

Roth staples like "Hammerhead Shark." LMFAO!!!!! Damn, I needed that one today.

This is old news, but we don't have a topic on this that's open, so I'll keep this open.

I am gonna move this to the Diamond Dave forum though.

yeah, this news came through a few days ago somewhere on here... anyway, at least you can get you get sonrisa salvaje for a reasonable price instead of what it goes for when it pops up on eBay... don't know that i'm swayed to get the other releases again... i like some of dave's solo stuff, and i have it all save for sonrisa, but it doesn't sound like there's a special hook about getting them, save for the remastering bit...

i wish dave would release a complete dvd of all his solo videos, maybe with the bbq video tacked on as well as a value-added thing...

"A Little Ain't Enough" isn't multi platinum, it's only gone gold. (according to RIAA)

    Still a cool cd though.

Remastered "Eat'em and Smile" would have been nice.

I'd probably get the Spanish version of EEAS but YFLM was nowhere near a classic from DLR. I think it's his worst album.

Yea I'll probably pick up the remastered ALAE cd. Actually, knowing me I'll get all of em except YFLM. The remastered tracks on Dave's "Best Of" cd sound killer. Especially "Ladies Night In Buffalo."

I wonder if he will be allowed to promote that or sell it at the shows? You know I was thinking about something Eddie said about Mike and Sam doing the other half thing and going around touring and making money off songs he wrote. I seem to remember him not liking it, but what the fuck has Dave been doing since he left the band in 1985. Every time I saw Dave solo with the exception of the earlier albums it was a van halen show.
I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.

Supposedly ALAE did go platinum eventually but WB never bothered to update the certification as he wasn't on their roster anymore.

That is actually my favorite Dave solo release, maybe not any great songs on there but it's a solid professional effort in which all the songs are at least listenable.

Sensible Shoes is pretty damn good in my humble opinion.
