Default Which Would You Have Preferred?

Out of these two scenarios - which one would you have preferred:

    1. The current situation with Dave and Wolfie, with the POTENTIAL to see Eddie and Dave together again live and new music later down the pipeline HOPEFULLY.

    2. Eddie and Sammy getting along great and recording new music with no chance in hell of DLR ever being in the band again.

I pick 2. What say you?

if I really had to pick, it would be number one. New Music with Sam would be great but the thought that this "train wreck" would never happen would suck. I'm interested in how/if this mess turns out.

The not-mentioned option: All five performing VH songs--happily and sober--at the RRHoF ceremony, then putting it all to rest.

I wish they could all put the egos aside and do this option.

But for the question above, that is a tough question considering I've never been to a live show with Dave and Ed together. But, the question used the word potential so I may have to go with option 2.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. Right now, nothing is going on.

Whichever way would result in Ed cleaning up and producing great music again.

    Van Squalen,

I know you like to stick it to me with the whole Coverdale thing, but you do realize don't you - that if it actually happened, the album would absolutely be more well received by fans and reflected through much better sales over VH 3. Which probably would have helped a little to putting Eddie in a more happier place.

I think it's fair to say that David would have brought a hell of a lot more to the table than Gary Cherone on a new album - who didn't even really bring his best game to the album (too much screaming and not like his Extreme vocals). That is if the killer Coverdale/Page album is any indication, which you may not like - but a lot of hard rock fans think it's Jimmy's best work since Zeppelin and better than his reunions with Plant.

I am not saying that it would be good tour wise with David trying to sing the old songs or that it would even last more than one album, but VH with Coverdale would have made an album that VH fans wouldn't be so ashamed about like they are with VH 3. Fair enough?

Neither, because neither one will happen again, unfortunately.

Can't pick because neither is going to happen as long as Eddie is calling the shots.
