Charvel EVH Art Series Question

Hi.

I've done a search, but they are all old news....

What are your opinions, (for those that have played them) of the Charvel EVH series?
I don't care that the price may be high or not.

Would anyone think these will be collectible items say 5 years from now?
What color will be the most collectible?

I have my thoughts, but want yours as well....

I doubt they'd be very collectible, but I really liked the two that I played. They were nice guitars, a bit overpriced, but then that is open to debate. The reason I don't believe in their long term value is that it's not like they are rare right now, and they have been dogged from the beginning by the perception of overpricing. Bottom line? Your guess is as good as anyones when trying to predict the future value of a guitar.

Perhaps there would be a higher collectability factor if Charvel was still Charvel and not Fender...

I don't think those art series guitars will ever be hard to find...

Since EVH has branded his own line of guitars now (EVH Gear, made by Fender), the story was the Art Series guitars will no longer say 'Charvel' but have the EVH logo instead. If that ends up being the case, it's entirely possible the early versions--those with the Charvel logo--will become slightly more collectable. But there's a lot of them out there, and appreciating beyond that initial price tag might take some time.

I think the yellow and black one will be worth the most, it's the only one that actually looks correct.
