Sammy's car in open testing in Florida was 14th quickest on the ovals its kinda cool seein the Cabo Wabo Logo on a race car. http://www.indycar.com/

The dude has been making records consistently since 1973. If he wants to do things outside of music then he has earned that right. He is establishing a financial support system for his kids, grandkids, etc...if he solely relied on his music then that would be a mistake as over time the music sales will fade and certainly with the internet and downloading its obvious the most musicians don't make the money they used to. How many times have we heard the story of a musician making a bunch of money then not investing or being smart with it and now they are driving a cab or sacking groceries. I know this is a VH forum site but sometimes you have to look past the emotions of what Sammy does in relation to VH and see it more for Sammy doing what makes him happy and what is best for his family. Sammy employs several band members and I am sure that their families rely on that income so the more ways he can bring in revenue the better suited he is to help provide for them without having to be trying to sell CD's or be on the road. I applaud Sammy for not crawling under a rock after '96 and drifting into oblivion. Musically speaking I think they should try to get George Lynch to join that Chickenfoot project and crank out some tunes and have a good time.

Being a fan of Indy Cars and Van Halen I think it is great that Sammy is involved in this form of racing.What a great way to enjoy his hobby and reach a new clinetel. Gene Simmons is also employed by INDY CAR he wrote the theme song titled I am Indy its kinda cheesy but still kinda cool

Maybe if Eddie started whoring some kind of booze instead of drinking it all he might get productive like Sammy and put our new releases every couple of years and tour every year. Yeah that Sammy is a such a bad dude. Multi million dollar Tequilla business, Bar/restaurant business, Nascar Etc.
