Honest Opinion: What's Going to Happen?

What are your OPINIONS, not HOPES, of what will happen in the near future with a Dave fronted Van Halen?

I think this is the end of the band - Van Halen.

They'll get a nice bump from the HOF, which they won't use, and they will fade away, because nobody cares about them...The RS article, HOF, and dare I say it, even the new GH package all could have propelled a nice little summer tour. As it is, they managed to f*ck that all up.

You have a better chance of Chicken Foot putting out a record and doing a mini-tour than Van Halen doing anything. ANd Sam deserves a break.

im the eternal optomist when it comes to vh so heres my "hopes"
they will tour but not in 07
ed will go into rehab after wolfie intervenes
maybe some new music

I don't see the tour happening this year or possibly even next, and the news of Roth's reunion was already just sidebar, small print news that only the 1% of the population who comes to these boards followed ferverently. So if within five years Eddie did come halfway back around and they toured with a 20 year old Wolf on bass, Dave will find that he's back in Van Halen but still at the state fair. They'll be on the level of Three Dog Night, Foghat, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Doors of the 21st Century, some band that goes around with some of the original members and plays afternoon slots at city music fests or Fourth of July fireworks exhibitions. A new CD? There's not a new "Panama" in the bag anywhere so I don't care. If they do come up with one it will be a prize at the penny toss as you exit their show by the spinning jenny.
