Sam and Mike at NASCAR race in California....

... in a pre-race little show, thingy, Sam and the Wabo's played "55". It was broadcast on Fox Television. During the chorses, Mikey came out and sang. He shared a mic with Sam and with Mona and sang on all the chorsus of the song. Sam even worked his name into the songs lyrics at some point, but I dont remember exactly how.

Its funny, I was thinking to myself as the whole thing started, "I wonder if Mike is there. "Ed-the-Ass" wont allow him to be in VH any longer, he might as well...." Sure enough, he showed up, with thinning hair on the top and a full 1988-style mullet on the back.

Wondered if anyone else caught that...

I saw that too. I don't think Sam knew Mike was there. Mike came running out on stage right before the chorus and ran to Sams microphone from Sam's right side. Sam jumped away and looked ready to defend himself like he thought it was a fan who made it to the stage. That's what it looked like to me anyway..........Pretty cool though

Didn't see it yet, but I'm sure it'll be re-broadcast. Good to see that Mike is out there playing and having a good time...being that it's SUPPOSE TO BE FUN to be a rock & roll musician, and not something that makes your life a misery.

By luck, I just happened to catch it. It was great to see two musicians on stage, having fun together....gee, what a concept eh?? Mikey rocks!! He looked happy as can be, none of this is pisssing in his breakfast, the guy is just enjoying it all as usual!! Good stuff!
