VH1 RnRHOF live and uncut!

Thats right, I just saw a promo ad on VH1classic for the RnRHOF induction ceremony. It had Jump playing in the background and said that it will be live and uncut on March 12 at 7:30 pm central time. That means anything VH says or plays will be seen! My theory is the RnRHOF wanted it this way and VH1 balked at the idea at first so they went to PBS and then VH1 changed their minds. Its also easier to do this as there are not as many people being inducted this year. There will probubly still be commercials though.

Now we don't have to worry about VH1 editing out part of VH's performance.

vh1 didn't have it initially because their contract ran out and then the hall tried to play hardball because they were pissed off with vh1's rock honors show being a ripoff copy show... the pbs deal fell through and then vh1 became an option again...

i thought the vh bros. are unlikely to show up given recent events... and even if that hadn't transpired, vh was noncommital about performing period...

and there's just as many inductees this year as there's ever been...

I have never watched this show any year. If VH does NOT perform, what exactly will there be to see of VH? Will they just have a guy go up and say a handful of words, somebody from VH goes up there says a few words and thats the end of it? Like the Grammy's? Or do they show a short film or something?

Obviously if they play that is one thing...but I seriously doubt that will happen.

In a sad way, Sammy, Davd and Mike being there without the VH brothers would almost be fitting as a representation of the craziness of the band. Not the best outcome mind you, but maybe the karma one.

Lets put it this way the RRHOF allready knows if VH is playing in someway fashion or form? And the band does to.. they have to...They cant plan a show with in 2week period if the band does not know if there playing or not.

Im just wondering, the show is 4 hours, that seems awful long for the few bands they have to induct, Im hoping we get big surprise and Van Halen play for : a whole hour, I can dream right?

I personally wouldn't want to see that. No Ed and Al = no VH induction performance.

Unless DLR really comes through and agrees to break out a little "Happy Trails" with Sam and Mike.

Of course, then we'd have five threads devoted to figuring out what it REALLY meant......
