I don't know if I can handle politically correct Dave. You can see he's walking on egg shells. I think he wants it bad and he's trying to be good, but 50 years of being DLR is hard to reverse.

I don't think anyone can say that at least publicly Dave's not making the effort. Wonder if he's as excited about Wolfie being in the band (if there is a band) as he lets on.

I guess it could be genuie maturity or humbleness, but it does seem as if Dave is just trying to be extra careful in what he says about the band and Wolfie in particular.

I guess he doesn't want to be the one that blows it.

Yeah, he's being careful. (He would HAVE to be.) But after reading his comments about working in "the hood" as an EMT in the LA Times article, he really seems to be a humbled person. At least, that's what I got out of it. It definitely didn't come across as BS.

I think his response to the Mike/Wolfie question was very diplomatic. He didn't say he was for or against it. It is what it is. He definitely seems to be treading lightly. Hey, the guy is 52 years old. He had to grow up a little at SOME point.

I feel bad for him. He's been waiting SO LONG for this to happen, WE have been waiting so long for this to happen, and it's STILL not happening. So close, and yet so far.

Again, I hope Ed is doing something positive for himself.

I hope Dave can see the reality of the situation. They ain't getting any younger and most bands from their era don't even have this chance. It should be humbling. Dave may get it now. It's not 1978 and they're not in their 20's no more. It's time to put the bull shit behind them.

Let's hope it's not Ed being a dick, just Ed taking time to get better. DLR's never had any trouble telling us Ed's a dick if that's what the situation is. Him being vague may be his way of respecting Ed's privacy and giving Ed time to address the situation himself. Hopefully VH_Chick's right and this is the kinder more mature Dave. Hopefully????
