After reports surfaced yesterday that Van Halen's tour with David Lee Roth was definitely called off, now a new report from Billboard.com is saying that the outing is still in the works and will happen eventually, though it is unclear exactly when. Billboard says the decision to postpone the tour indefinitely was not due to any internal strife among band members. The wheels were in motion for a 40-date amphitheater tour, but the Van Halen camp has yet to make any official announcement about the postponement or the reasons behind it. Meanwhile, the band will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on March 12.

i quess you will be richer than me? 23 years is a long time to wait for diamond dave to be back. you may never see this again? if & when this tour happens? not only will i buy a ticket, i will be close & i will go to atleast 2 shows in different states. i want michael anthony on the tour also, who wouldnt..... i say give the kid a chance.

Anyways...just for yucks...I decided to send Brad an email and ask a couple questions.
Well, much to my surprise, he responded (within 24 hours, too!!).

I wrote...
"Hi Brad,
Just a long-time fan of the band here.
Can you please answer a couple questions?...as many news reports are swirling and nothing from an "official" source.
1) Has the tour been cancelled and/or postponed?
2) If so, has everything been scrapped?
3) Are all 4 members (Ed, Al, Wolfie, Dave) still getting along?
4) Is everyone ok, healthwise?
Any answers here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any answers!!"

"The tour is still in the works. Your best bet right now is to consider Van Halen a work in progress.
