I feel your pain and thought I would pass this on:

VAL DID IT! Apparently Val has never liked DLR. Val thinks Dave is a bad influence on Ed, and his drinking. She doesn't want to see the same thing happen to Wolfie.

Big threats from her once she got wind of the tour (which, sad to say, was about the time the Rolling Stone picture came out). She was kept in the dark because the Van Halens feared this would happen.
