I don't think anyone here knows for sure yet. Knowing VH Inc. though, I doubt we would hear anything though.

My sister actually works in a rehab facility in Pasadena. If by some off off chance he was there, she would tell me (many celebs have been in there).

Seriously though, I could see VH wanting it to be private, as it should be I suppose.

I guess this confirms what we've already heard....everyone but EVH knows he had a problem. If he can't admit he has a problem then he won't get help no matter how many people are trying to get him the help he needs.

Someone at work said that Van Halen backed out because the Police sold out tickets in minutes and Van Halen realizes they can't compete.

I don't know. Sounds plausible.

Lots of people are afraid of the police !

It would shock me if Ed is EVER able to kick the bottle, rehab or not. Any sobriety with Edward will be short lived at best.
I love the guy, but he reminds me of my Dad, who always said he was going to die exactly how he lived.....no one could tell him what he could and couldn't do ! Personal health just isn't that important to some people.

I just don't see the point in going out like that now........I mean, if you were just gonna kill yourself anyway, why not do it young so you can get your fair due lagacy wise ! Hell, would Hendrix be so well thought of today had he stuck around long enough to ruin his career?

It would be great if Clapton, Ed's hero, intervened and go him down to his rhab facility in Atiga: Crossroads. But, sadly, no one can help Ed if he doesn't want to help himself. Unfortunately, most brilliant artists are often tortured souls...

Unfortunately for Eddie, his family, and us fans, Eddie is basically an idiot that has too much money to be told what to do.

He is completely incapable of controlling anything besides a guitar. Yet he's too rich for anyone to really be able to make him do anything. He doesn't HAVE to do anything anyone tells him.

I think that's one reason VH doesn't have a recording contract; If they did, whatever label it was with could pressure Eddie and start making demands for the next record.

My guess is, probably Wolfgang is the only person that could MAYBE talk Eddie into some rehab....and even sober he still seems about half-crazy. Probably all the years of drinking and drugs.

And furthermore, even if he went into rehab right now, the last thing he'd need to do when he got out was go straight to a tour.

Sad situation.

The flaw in this thinking is in believing that the child is even aware a problem exists. Let's face it, within the odd celebrity vacuum that the boy has been raised in, it may be that he see's his father's behavior as normal.

If your father was hosting parties for porn stars in the backyard, where would you draw the line for acceptable behavior? Who is to say what sort of social life and upbringing the kid has endured, and how he could rationalise his father's life choices if agreeing with them or not, when this "rock-star perception" of life as viewed by his father is all that he (Wolfgang) has ever known?

I am sure Wolfgang knows what is right and wrong. He has friends who have parents. He probably has had events with Valerie and her side of the family. I am sure he has watched his share of Lifetime specials which show the drunk male is being abusive to the strong willed woman. Eventually she overcomes the adversity and becomes independant and on her own. Ok I am joking about that but I am sure he has seen his share of TV shows which depict drunks. This kid is not living in a bubble or on Neverlandranch. I am sure he knows his dad acts different than most other fathers and probably drinks too much. When you come home from school and dad is still sleeping or is passed out on the floor, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure things out.

Ed needs rehab that is for sure. The kicker about this is that everybody now wants him to get help. If he does and gets sober, the Eddie you will get is going to the VH3 Eddie. The Eddie at the VMA's. The one who kicked Sammy out, worked the Dave angle, screwed over Dave and Mitch Malloy. The one who played drums and bass on VH3. The control freak.
