I'm trying hard not to give up on this band, but it's not easy to keep rooting for something to happen that's not going to. It's time for the band to accept its fate that time has not been favorable to them as a result of their own actions.

That makes 4 times they couldn't get it done with Dave. 1996, 2000, 2003, and now 2007. I just want to trash ever VH related item I have. I'm so sick of these assholes fucking with our heads. I was really looking forward to this summer. I wish the Hall of Fame would take back their induction on the basis of stupidity. Mike & Sammy must be pissing themselves laughing at this point.

The Official Word: Van Halen Tour Kaput
It looks like David Lee Roth’s first tour with Van Halen in twenty-three years won’t happen, after all. Over the weekend, employees of tour promoters Live Nation were informed that “the Van Halen tour has been shut down.” It’s not yet clear what went wrong: Just last week, the band released their first official photo of their new line-up to Rolling Stone. At the time, Roth told us that he was thrilled about the tour, and that the reunion could be permanent: “I have hope and faith – and that’s more than just the name of a couple of strippers from Albuquerque,” he said. Umm...guys...This is all the same old crap. Don't post a new thread unless it's official from the band. We have threads for other sources. Everyone claims it is official, including Rolling Stone, but it ain't official until we hear from the band. For now, I will say it's true the band has postponed the tour, but that's it. Hopefully we'll find out more soon.

A talk radio station here in Springfield is talking about the tour postponement, stating there was zero interest in the tour according to a marketing firm's research which is why the tour has been cancelled. I'll email the djs to find out where they got their info.
