very quickly guys and simply...

no amount of touring, number 1 hits, interviews, website updates, or a true classic reunion can replace the health of a human being, especially that of eddie van halen.

people ought to put their differences aside here, ie your opinions of the band, who should sing, play bass, etc, and just pray for eddie.

we should be hoping the man can come out the other side ok. i'm hearing he's in a very, very, very dark place

if some of you cannot see past the music, you don't belong here at this point. this is now about a human being. ed is a father, brother, etc. yes he has to want to help himself. in my opinion, this tour not happening is a good thing. i'd rather have no tour now and a healthy eddie then some half assed shit and never see ed again

seriously people, this stuff is deep, real deep.

pray that ed gets the help he needs and admits he is powerless and wants help

Your post is very cryptic and thus, not very useful to us. Some kind of detail would be rather helpful if this is to be of use to anyone here. It is also contrary to some of the other info we've gotten...that the guys are getting along great and so on.

Eddie alientated himself, he sunk deep into alcoholism, and I hate to say it but I think he is way too far gone. He has no concept of health, he's smoked far too long (the metal picks thing is horseshit), he drinks far too much, and I don't think he knows how to deal with lifes problems which we all face. He needs professional help, a trainer, not another shrink who is going to inflate his ego further. I'm not bashing him, but he's wasting his life and he'll never find the strength to better himself on his own.

Haha...yes, well, I moved beyond wondering about a lot of things about 24 hours ago. Besides, it's more fun to watch other people continue to kick around the same storylines over and over, beat each other up, claim to be insiders, put down people who know what they're talking about, express childish hatred toward band members, and occasionally announce they're no longer going to play here anymore, which lasts about fourteen minutes, on average.

But to answer your question, my intention was to continue a private conversation that had already begun prior to the creation of this thread. So no, two, I cannot just ask him to "please tell me" anything.

I'm not an insider, I just like to read. It's all right out here in black and white.......
